Andrea Martinez, Esq.

Associate Attorney

Andrea Martinez is an Associate Attorney at FPLG. Ms. Martinez is from Palm Harbor, Florida and earned her B.A. in Political Science from the University of Florida. She earned her J.D. from the University of Miami.

During her time in law school, Ms. Martinez was a judicial extern for the Honorable Michael G. Williamson at the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, Middle District of Florida. Additionally, she earned the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in the University of Miami Tenants’ Rights Clinic and became a member of the Society of Bar & Gavel—an honor society dedicated to exemplary character, service to others, positive attitude, and leadership. In her free time, she mentored and tutored at risk teens through Empowered Youth.

While waiting for State Bar results in Florida and California, Ms. Martinez volunteered for legal aid in Clearwater, Florida, and then in San Diego, California. In 2016, she was a Supreme Court of Florida Pro-Bono Lapel Pin recipient. The following year, she received The State Bar of California Wiley W. Manuel Certificate for Pro Bono Legal Services.

Ms. Martinez is licensed to practice law in both California and Florida. She has experience in contract drafting and review, general civil litigation, and outside general counsel services for construction-related companies and nonprofit associations. Further, Ms. Martinez is fluent in Spanish and has counseled her clients on a variety of matters in both English and Spanish. Above all, she values building relationships with her clients in order to foster communication and attorney-client trust.

Outside of the office, Ms. Martinez enjoys traveling, working out, hiking, trying new foods, and reading on her kindle. She also hopes to adopt a dog in the very near future.
