Legal Accounting and Billing Manager

San Diego, CA

Responsibilities and Duties:

The candidate MUST have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or equivalent experience;
  • Familiarity with Quickbooks Online;
  • A familiarity with accounting for IOLTA accounts.

The ideal candidate should have:

  • Familiarity with Clio, or any other legal management software;
  • The ability to work independently, yet enjoy the camaraderie and synergy that can be created working in a fun, exciting, and collaborative office environment;
  • A willingness to learn new things.

Education and Experience:

We require this candidate to be a graduate of an accountancy program, or to have equivalent experience. If you’ve never heard of Quickbooks, please don’t apply.

Software and Systems:

Required proficiency: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and experience with QBO.

Valued Proficiency: Experience with Clio and Lexicata (legal CRM) software.

Hours, Compensation and Benefits:

This is a full-time position with a salary commensurate with your level of experience. There is a three-month probationary period, to ensure we are a good fit. We want to make sure that we are a perfect match and that you will be happy and we will be happy working together. After all, life is too short to spend your days working with people you don’t enjoy being around.

If we both determine that you are a great fit, then after those 90 days of satisfactory employment, you will become eligible to receive paid time off, health/vision/dental insurance and flexible spending account benefits and to participate in our employer sponsored retirement plan (401(k)). Legal Administrative Assistant / Receptionist

San Diego, CA

We are searching for an experienced legal administrative assistant / receptionist. This is an entry-level position with the firm, but one that has a great opportunity for growth and increasing responsibility. We are searching for a talented, hard-working, and passionate individual who is looking for a long-term opportunity, to become the newest member of our team.

Responsibilities and Duties

The Legal Administrative Assistant / Receptionist is the gatekeeper of the firm. He or she works at the front desk in the front of our offices, and is expected to greet clients and visitors and to answer incoming calls. Since the receptionist is often the first person with whom clients and visitors interact, he or she is important to the image of the firm and must be polished, professional and articulate.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable:

  • Greeting clients and visitors in a friendly, capable, and up-beat manner;
  • Answering and routing incoming calls on a multi-line telephone system;
  • Scheduling and routing clients;
  • Performing potential new client intake procedures;
  • Establishing new client files;
  • Maintaining and scheduling the calendars for several attorneys;
  • Maintaining the waiting area, lobby and other public areas, including light cleaning and trash removal;
  • Serving coffee or tea to guests;
  • Ordering supplies;
  • Mailing, scanning, photocopying, faxing and filing documents;
  • Collecting and routing mail and hand-delivered packages;
  • Drafting simple correspondence.

Education and Experience:

We require this candidate to be a high school graduate; Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree strongly preferred.

Software and Systems:

Required proficiency: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and experience in a law firm or other professional services environment.

Valued Proficiency: Experience with Clio and Lexicata (legal CRM) software.
